The PTRS-41 has a reload animation that is 3.5 seconds long, or 4.5 seconds long if the magazine is completely empty. Unlike other scoped bolt-action rifles, the PTRS-41 reloads in one motion instead of reloading individual bullets. The PTRS-41's hip-fire accuracy is abysmal, and the PTRS-41 will need 400 milliseconds to aim down the sight. The PTRS-41 will allow users to move at 100% of the base movement speed, but only strafe at 40% of the base movement speed. The PTRS-41's handling characteristics are bog standard for a scoped bolt-action rifle. It has the best centerspeed of all scoped bolt-action rifles, with 1000 centerspeed, double that of the other scoped bolt-action rifles. This differs greatly from the other scoped bolt-action rifles, as they have vertical recoil that is inconsistent in terms of intensity, and they can kick strongly either to the left or the right, whereas the PTRS-41 will always kick highly up and to the right with every shot. The PTRS-41's recoil per shot is very consistent and heavy, kicking highly upwards and to the right with every shot. It'll sway as quickly as the other bolt-action rifles, but it has 33% less idle sway overall than other sniper rifles. The PTRS-41's idle sway is the best among the scoped bolt-action rifles. The PTRS-41 comes with a sniper scope by default that cannot be detached, meaning users don't have to unlock the scope before using it. One of the PTRS-41's strenghts is its accuracy. When Double Tap is in use, the fire rate is increased to a maximum of 100 RPM. It is still a very poor rate of fire overall, but it nearly doubles the fire rate of its contemporaries. It has by far the best rate of fire of any bolt-action rifle, firing with a maximum of 75 RPM. One of the PTRS-41's main advantages as a bolt-action rifle is its rate of fire. When multipliers are factored in, this allows the PTRS-41 to get a one shot kill to any part of the body that isn't a limb, and against a Juggernaut user, one shot kills to the head, neck, and upper chest are guaranteed. When Stopping Power is in use, the PTRS-41's damage per bullet increases to 98. The PTRS-41 has high penetration power, allowing it to retain a lot of damage through walls, although one shouldn't expect to get one shot kills through moderately thick cover. The PTRS-41 only gets a 10% damage boost on shots to the lower torso. The PTRS-41 gains a 50% damage boost on a shot to the head, neck, and upper torso, which will grant a one shot kill barring shots through cover or against a Juggernaut user. The PTRS-41 will deal seventy damage per bullet at all ranges. The PTRS-41 has equal damage and body multipliers to the other scoped bolt-action rifles. It is classed in-game as a bolt-action rifle, although it operates as a semi-automatic rifle. It is also available in " Downfall" in which the player will snipe the opposing German forces on the opposite side of the balcony and then provide fire support for comrades on the bottom of the Parliament floor. The mission " Heart of the Reich" also harbors this sniper rifle during the end of the mission in which it is located in a ruined building before stepping foot inside the Reichstag. It is useful on taking down Sd.Kfz.251 Half-Tracks in a couple of shots although it's 7 shots to take them both out. Near it, leaning against a wall, will be the PTRS-41. After they advance, and after the player fends off some Wehrmacht in close range, there will be a mounted MG42. It can be found after the player fends off the first large group of German soldiers while covering comrades. In the mission " Vendetta", it can be used. It is extremely powerful, being the only weapon that takes only one shot to kill at any range, and is the only sniper rifle capable of ripping off body parts from the enemies. It is seen during the Red Army campaign missions. It has very low mobility, comparable to that of a light machine gun or launcher, and the sights take up more space than on other weapons. The functionality of the PTRS-41 is changed from an anti-tank rifle to a scoped sniper rifle.
